The Firehouse Grill in Evanston is a place that I have frequented on my way back from a Golf Outing on a number of occasions. It has a number of daily specials usually in the sandwich, burger, meatball arena. To be honest I struggle to recall much about this place except that I have found that both Guiness and Stella Artois pair very nicely with their burgers. One thing that I really like is their pretzel bun on the burger, the burgers can be juicy but on occasion a bit dry, so a bit hit and miss to be honest. Having said that it is a good bar and I can forgive many things if the company and ambience is able to distact one from the job in hand. On this occasion the job was to mop up the Stella and the Guiness.
