Do not let the name fool you, this is way more than just a kebab shop.

Noon O Kabab specializing in Persian Cuisine is at Kedzie and has two spaces at the same location.

A sit down resturant on the corner of Kedzie and Leland Ave and a take out on Kedzie adjacent to the El line (right on the line!)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Persians have a love affair with Pomegranate and with this being the Fall season it seemed appropriate to select the Spicy Pomegranate Chicken Wings as a starter. They were something else and a total surprise, spicy, slightly sweet, tender and  the tangy molasses Pomegranate glaze was very moreish.

 

I had to try one of the kabobs and went for the Joujeh which was pieces of a charbroiled marinated chicken with a charbroiled tomato. It was very juicy and tender but was overpowered by the starter of the wings. On another day I would try to be more balanced.
